Government promotes the use of online services to avoid contact during the pandemic

To avoid contact between citizens and civil servants, the population is encouraged to use alternative digital channels.

The ePortugal portal aims to facilitate interactions between citizens and companies and the State, making them clearer and simpler, this portal is the responsibility of the Agency for Administrative Modernization, IP (AMA).

The website contains various interactions such as information on more than 1,000 public services for citizens and businesses, access to digital services that do not require travel to stores or service points and addresses, opening hours and public administration service points and the directory of Public Administration sites.

EPortugal replaced the old Citizen’s Portal, adding all services dedicated to citizens and companies, which were found at the Citizen’s Portal and at the Entrepreneur’s Desk.

The evolution of the Citizen Portal to the ePortugal portal is a SIMPLEX + 2017 measure, which emerged in the sense of organizing electronic information and services around the life events of citizens and companies.

The brand and image of the ePortugal portal are owned by AMA. AMA provides a standards manual and an associated set of image resources that allow its use in other portals or pages, in order to advertise links to the ePortugal portal.

AMA is the entity responsible for the development, management and maintenance of the ePortugal portal, working with the various Public Administration bodies to collect, edit and publish the content provided by them.
