Grace Jonas gives concert on July 12 at the Alive

Jamaican singer Grace Jones will appear on July 12 at the Sagres stage of the Alive Festival, which will be held from 11 to 13 of that month on the Algés promenade, Oeiras municipality, the organization announced.

Grace Jones will perform on the Sagres stage the same day as Johnny Marr, Cut Copy, RY X, Tash Sultana, and Pip Bloom.

Grace Jones had her first contract in 1977 and is responsible for various dance club themes such as ‘I Need A Man’ and the reinvention of the classic ‘La Vie En Rose’ by Edith Piaf.

In the late 1970s, Grace Jones adapted a different style with the genre of ‘New Wave’ music and released the albums ‘Warm Leatherette’ (1980) and ‘Nightclubbing’ (1981).

The artist was still known for being the diva and muse of the American painter and filmmaker Andy Warhol.
