Greta van Fleet present Starcatcher in Lisbon

Sagres Campo Pequeno, December 6th

Greta Van Fleet announce the Starcatcher World Tour with guaranteed passage to Portugal on December 6 at Sagres Campo Pequeno. The first part will be in charge of Black Honey and tickets will be available this Friday, April 21st at 10 am, at everythingisnew.pt, and at the usual places.

The Starcatcher World Tour follows the release of the band’s highly anticipated third studio album, Starcatcher, due out July 21st.

The album’s first single, “Meeting The Master”, was recently released to great critical acclaim, deemed by Consequence to be “[a song that digs] deeper into its mythical tradition by revisiting concepts from [the band’s] previous work”. The album was written and recorded by the band alongside GRAMMY®-winning producer Dave Cobb. Recorded at the legendary RCA Studios in Nashville, Greta Van Fleet utilized the large recording room to capture the pure energy of their world-renowned live shows.

“We didn’t really need to push or be intense to write, because everything that happened was so instinctive,” says Jake. “Anyway, the album is our perspective and sums up where we are as a group and individually as musicians.”

Over the ten songs, the band explores the duality of fantasy versus reality and the contrast between light and dark. “We had the idea that we wanted to tell these stories to build a universe,” says Wagner. “We wanted to introduce characters and motifs and these ideas that would pop up here and there throughout our careers in this world.”

Starcatcher follows their acclaimed second album The Battle at Garden’s Gate, released in 2021 and highly acclaimed by critics, reaching the top of several charts while the EP From The Fires, released in 2017, won Best Rock Album at the 61st GRAMMY® Awards.

Formed in Frankenmuth, Michigan in 2012, the band consists of Josh Kiszka (vocalist), Jake Kiszka (guitarist), Sam Kiszka (bassist/keyboardist), and Danny Wagner (drummer). Together, they have performed on several continents and sold more than 3.5 million records worldwide.

In December, they go up to Sagres Campo Pequeno, in their own name, to present their new album to their Portuguese audience, which will certainly create great memories.
