On World Food Day, Grupo Bimbo promotes initiative to help the most vulnerable.
As part of its global programs, for the third year in a row, the world’s largest baker, now donates 1.4 million slices of bread to food banks as a result of kilometers driven by all Global Energy Race Bimbo participants, who in the 2018 edition, brought together more than 110,000 athletes in 23 countries.
In this way, the company will help the disadvantaged by donating a pack of form bread to local food banks for each athlete enrolled in the 10 km race.
Thanks to the success of the solidarity race, in Portugal, where the race took place in Lisbon, with the participation of more than 2,800 athletes, the company will donate more than 2,200 packages of bread of form to the local food banks.
The number of participants in this global race, which celebrated its 4th edition on 23 September, continues to increase with each edition. This year, more than 110,000 athletes from around the world.
Coinciding with the World Food Day event, an important date for the company, Bimbo makes this donation, reinforcing once again its commitment to present and future generations, traveling on a sustainable path, with options for all and with human sense
