Touring Europe, the Brazilian group Monobloco debuts on November 20th, at 10 pm, at Casino Estoril. This is one of the best-known Carnival groups in Rio de Janeiro that takes to the stage at the Salão Preto e Prata to present a very dynamic and lively show.
With an unmistakable musical matrix based on samba and the drums of the Samba Schools, the group Monobloco has brought other musical styles to the Carnival repertoire for 24 years. From pop to funk, from MPB to northeastern rhythms, Monobloco continues to be constantly renewed, incorporating hits and new trends in Brazil into its repertoire.
Another trademark of Monobloco is the creation of percussion workshops, in operation throughout the year, in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, which have trained more than 2 thousand drummers since 2000.
In 2003, Monobloco Show emerged, a group of professional musicians who perform throughout the year at events, recordings, and national and international tours, inviting the public to embark on a comprehensive and diverse journey through Brazilian music.
