Grutera releases new album in September

Given the current context and the fact that music is essentially a form of live expression, Grutera postponed the release of the album “Aconteceu” to September 11th.

This decision is mainly due to the fact that in this way it is able to accompany the release of the album with live concerts, close to everyone, although possibly with the necessary safety distances, which will be a natural consequence of these upcoming new times.

The postponement of the album due to this whole pandemic, only made me want to go back to be with people, on stage and all the lands where we went to present our work. It gave me time to realize that living without music does not make sense, but making music without feeling the feedback of people live also loses meaning.

It continues to be the same album, but with a more dense emotional charge, because as it is a record about memories and people that are dear to me, the fact of all this distance still makes my feeling nostalgic come even more to the top. Basically, I think it will be a challenge to present the album live with all these restrictions, but it will also force us to reformulate the way we do some things.

The next concerts will serve as a warm up for a year that I hope will still have very good things. Because life will continue, it may be different, but it will continue and it will continue to be good.

Still, during this period he launched a page on Patreon where between May and September he will share everything about this new album even before its debut for all those who want to become patrons.

On this platform, it offers weekly home videos about everything you can hear on the new album – from rehearsals, track to track of new themes, explanation of how your writing process went, the history of each one and even some attempts at classes online of his unorthodox composition methods, since he never had musical training or guitar lessons.

In anticipation of the edition of Aconteceu, Grutera now launches the new single “Para Mim És Assim”, a theme about when we think we know someone yet without knowing them and idealize how that person will be in our head.
