“Guerra Nuclear”, an unpublished song by António Variações that marked the solo debut of Marisa Liz, is an undeniable success on national radio stations, now occupying the 10th place in the airplay top, thus becoming the 10th most played song in the country radios.
The phenomenon extends to the official video, directed by João Maia (director of the biographical film “Variações”), which has more than 1 million views on YouTube in just three months.
“Guerra Nuclear”, a co-production between Moullinex and Marisa Liz, also has a huge surprise, as we have the opportunity to hear the voice of António Variações, taken from the original cassette recording.
Marisa Liz says about this unique opportunity to give voice to an unpublished song by António Variações: “A gift fell from heaven.’ That’s what I felt when I found out that this song was for me. I had in my hands the purest and strongest message that I wanted to feel and that I wanted to sing. I had and still have in my hands the sadness of knowing that unfortunately, this message continues to make sense. I was invaded with certainty, tears of love and wishes for peace fell from me. I was invaded with urgency, it was and is urgent to pass on this message from the master. It is urgent to have peace. Variations knew that. A gift fell from heaven. For all. Let’s hear it.”
After “Guerra Nuclear”, Marisa Liz also released the single “Olha Lá”, a contagious electro-pop song, signed by Marisa Liz and Joana Espadinha, and in the production, Marisa partnered with Moullinex again. The official video was made by Cláudia Batalhão.
Marisa Liz is currently in the studio finishing what will be her debut solo album, scheduled for release in the first quarter of the year.
