“Guitarras Para Amália” today, February 22 at 5:45 pm, in the European Parliament
Within the framework of the Portuguese Presidency of the European Union, the Assembly of the Republic, in partnership with the Fado Museum, presents the final theme of the film-concert Guitarras para Amália (“Guitars For Amália”) at the close of today’s online meeting at the European Parliament.
Recorded on the monumental staircase of Paços do Concelho, Guitarras para Amália involved the participation of 100 musicians from different generations. It is a production by the Lisbon City Council and the Fado Museum/EGEAC, specifically designed for the opening of the Official Commemorations of the Centennial of Amália Rodrigues.
The video will be shown at the end of the European Semester Conference, co-organized by the European Parliament and the Assembly of the Republic, on an open channel on the website of the Parliamentary Dimension of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union and also on the website of ARTV.
