Gustavo Ribeiro finished eighth and wins Olympic diploma

The Portuguese Gustavo Ribeiro finished the final of the Olympic Games street skateboard competition and said goodbye to Tokyo with a diploma in the sport’s debut at the Olympic Games.

The 20-year-old Portuguese skater finished qualifying 32.66 points, a performance that earned him his presence among the eight finalists. Affected by a shoulder injury, after a fall in qualifying, Gustavo Ribeiro ended up adding only 15.05 points.

The Japanese Horigome Yuto (37.18 points) conquered the other. Brazilian Kelvin Hoefler (36.15) and North American Jagger Eaton (35.35) won silver and bronze, respectively.
