There’s Music at the End of the Tunnel (Há Música ao Fundo do Túnel – HMFT) is a project that emerged to raise awareness about the importance of taking care of one’s mental well-being, using music as a natural instrument to reach everyone. In October, the month that marks World Mental Health Day, the initiative returns for its fourth edition and presents new features in the programming that extends from October 18 to 25.
Maintaining the connection with public spaces representing the heartbeat of major cities, namely subway and railway stations, the National Coordination of Mental Health Policies, Filrouge, and Associated Producers inaugurate the first major novelty of this HMFT edition. Thus, as part of the partnership with IP – Infraestruturas de Portugal, on October 18, live music concerts will take place simultaneously at the railway stations of Aveiro, Braga, and Coimbra. This will be followed by concerts at the Porto Metro Network stations (October 21 and 22) and Lisbon stations (October 24 and 25).
As has been customary in previous editions of There’s Music at the End of the Tunnel, the lineup is dedicated to new artistic projects discovered through the Open Call, which runs until September 29, the deadline for these registrations. New talents with musical projects can present themselves live to a broad and receptive audience.
Through this initiative, the National Coordination of Mental Health Policies, along with all its partners, invites people to pause their routine for a moment to enjoy live music and take away information about accessing Mental Health care in Portugal. This information will be available through the QR Code present at all performance locations.
There’s Music at the End of the Tunnel is an initiative of the National Coordination of Mental Health Policies (CNPSM), which, as the name suggests, operates in the promotion of Mental Health in our country.
