In the month in which World Mental Health Day is celebrated, the 2nd Edition of the concert cycle Há Música ao Fundo do Túnel is announced, an initiative of the National Coordination of Mental Health Policies of the Ministry of Health, which acts in the context of promoting the Mental health. This initiative starts today, October 24th.
In this 2nd Edition, music will feature prominently on the Porto and Lisbon Metro networks for two days in each city – October 24th and 25th in Porto and October 27th and 28th in Lisbon.
Há Música ao Fundo do Túnel has a set of 36 concerts in 4 days, spread over 6 metro stations in the two largest cities in the country, giving the stage to emerging talents of various musical genres. In Porto, there will be live performances at the stations of Bolhão, S. Bento and Casa da Música. In Lisbon, the programming will be distributed by the stations of Cais do Sodré, Marquês de Pombal and São Sebastião.
Há Música ao Fundo do Túnel was created with the purpose of alerting the general population to the importance of taking care of themselves and promoting their well-being.
In a space representing the pulse of a city – the Porto and Lisbon Metro – the National Coordination of Mental Health Policies invites people to reserve some time in their day to enjoy live music, stop their routine and connect with art and culture. Music is the vehicle chosen to make people aware of the promotion of physical, psychological and social well-being.
