Half a million lamps illuminate Romaria d’Agonia starting today
Half a million lamps placed in 2,000 pieces assembled throughout the city of Viana do Castelo, including 142 arches in the streets, make up this year’s traditional illumination of the Pilgrimage of Nossa Senhora d’Agonia, which will be turned on from 9:30 pm this Saturday, August 7th.
At Campo d’Agonia, also starting this weekend, 11 food and beverage spaces will be open, duly authorized and subject to compliance with the sanitary rules in force, including controlled entrances, distance and sale in take-out service. -away’.
The Festivals Committee is still awaiting legal authorizations for the installation and operation, also in Campo d’Agonia, of a limited number of children’s and family entertainments, to be carried out in the coming days.
