Heineken® beer and Formula 1® (F1) share a passion for creating unique, exclusive and memorable moments.
For this reason, and as a naming sponsor of FORMULA 1® HEINEKEN® GRANDE PRÉMIO DE PORTUGAL 2021, Heineken® promoted this Tuesday a preview event of the race, where he presented the official trophy, in Campo Pequeno.
A few days from the second race in Portugal in just 6 months, after 24 years without a Grand Prix, Tiago Monteiro accepted the invitation of Heineken® to be the brand’s new ambassador for F1® and officially presented the cup that will be delivered to the winner of the race, scheduled for next Sunday (May 2) at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, in Portimão.
The ‘testimony pass’ for the Portuguese driver, the first and only one to take the podium at an F1® Grand Prix, was made by the emblematic David Coulthard, former international driver and official representative of Heineken® for the sport. The starting grid for this warm-up was also filled with other guests, such as Carlos Barbosa (president of Automóvel Club de Portugal), Elisabete Jacinto (Portuguese all-terrain driver) or Gonçalo Uva (former player of the National Rugby Team) ).
To celebrate the second consecutive year of holding the premier race of world motorsport on national territory, Heineken® will promote a unique activation, challenging a Portuguese illustrator to decorate the podium of the FORMULA 1® HEINEKEN® GRANDE PRÉMIO DE PORTUGAL 2021. Invited via Underdogs Gallery , Kruella D’Enfer took over the project and officially presented the PORTU MAGNUS (Porto Grande), where the 3 best classifieds of the race will be consecrated, in an environment where ‘Portugality’ will be very visible.
