Hotel dos Templários receives Seal of Environmental Sustainability

The Hotel dos Templários receives, for the first time, the We Care 2018 Environmental Sustainability Seal, awarded by the Hotel Association of Portugal (AHP) under the HOSPES program. This corporate program of Social Responsibility and Environmental Sustainability aims to raise awareness and encourage Portuguese hotels to contribute to a common cause: sustainable and responsible growth of the sector, acting in three strands – social, economic and environmental.

Since 2015, AHP has annually distinguished adhering hotels with the best social and environmental practices by awarding them the labels of Social Responsibility (We Share) and Environmental Sustainability (We Care). By handing over these seals, AHP aims not only to distinguish hotels that contribute to the sustainable and responsible development of the sector through AHP projects and initiatives but also to promote public recognition of socially and environmentally committed companies.

This year, the award ceremony of the We Share and We Care stamps for the year 2018 took place on July 25th, is the recognition of the work done by the Portuguese hotel industry. The ceremony was attended by Margarida Couto, President of GRACE – Group for Reflection and Support for Corporate Citizenship, and was closed by Ana Mendes Godinho, Secretary of State for Tourism.
