Until December 11, TRYP Lisboa Aeroporto, TRYP Porto Expo, Meliá Castelo Branco, Meliá Braga Hotel & Spa, and Meliá Ria (Aveiro) promote a Gastronomic Week dedicated to one of the most popular dishes in Portuguese cuisine: feijoada.
Each unit features an original menu with several feijoada dishes, from the most traditional to the less conventional.
Meliá Castelo Branco has prepared a menu where beans are king, from soups, to Feijoada do Mar with scallops, shrimp, clams and cuttlefish, Feijoada de Bacalhau to Feijoada de Leitão and the most traditional Portuguese Feijoada. There is even a Vegetarian Feijoada with tofu and mushrooms. The menu has a value of €19.50 per person and includes soup, a feijoada to choose from, dessert, and drinks.
Overlooking the Ria de Aveiro, the Meliá Ria Hotel & Spa presents its reinterpretation of this iconic dish in three versions: transmontana, Bacalhau, and Mariscos. The full menu with cover, main course, dessert and coffee is €16/person.
The Meliá Braga Hotel & Spa values the local terroir with a Feijoada of Veal Minhota, as well as a Feijoada from Buzios and Navalheira and the typical Feijoada à Transmontana (full menu for €15.90/px).
At TRYP Lisboa Aeroporto, it is possible to taste several bean-based dishes: Feijoada de Polvo with coriander, Feijoada with shrimp and mussels with mint (€14, 90), Feijoada with sausages, Wild boar with fresh herbs, Dobrada with white beans and carrots, Cachupa of meat and chorizo and also Feijoada of vegetables and tofu (€12,90).
