Hugo Lopes at the Constálica Viseu Dão Lafões Rally to put on a show and fight for victory

Young Hugo Lopes and his navigator Magda Oliveira are confirmed for the Constálica Viseu Dão Lafões Rally, which will take place from September 5th to 7th.

Driving a Hyundai i20N Rally2 from the CRN Competition team, the duo is enthusiastically approaching this participation in their home region, especially given the importance it has in preparing for their next challenge in the Portuguese Rally Championship (CPR) under the colours of Hyundai Junior Team FPAK.

“We couldn’t miss this rally, which is held on roads in our region and features very technical courses, alternating between fast and winding, with varying grip conditions. It will be an excellent opportunity to rack up a few more kilometres with the Hyundai i20N Rally2, gain more experience and competitive pace for the next challenge in the Brazilian Rally Championship with the Hyundai Junior Team FPAK. Naturally, we want to put on a show for the large crowd expected and, if possible, fight for victory,” said Hugo Lopes.

The Viseu native also emphasises: “This participation also aims to repay the support of our sponsors, many of whom are located in the region. In other words, it will be a highly emotional participation, with a crowd that I know will support us to the fullest, and that is an added motivation.”

The 12th edition of the Rallye Constálica Viseu Dão Lafões will take place from September 5th to 7th in the municipalities of Viseu, Vouzela, Castro Daire, and Oliveira de Frades. On Friday, at 8 pm, the São Mateus Fair in Viseu will once again host the official start. On Saturday and Sunday, the rally will travel through the iconic qualifying stages of Moledo, Farminhão/Torredeita, Ladário, Penoita, and Senhora do Castelo, while a spectacular super-special stage in Vouzela concludes Saturday’s competitive day.
