Humanorama Talks discuss the topics that “go on” to the stage at Rock in Rio Lisboa

The spaces of the City of Rock are loaded with meaning and at Humanorama Talks Rock in Rio will deepen these themes with light and informal conversations, which bring together specialists, artists, entities and active participants in society.

During the month of May, there will be four Talks that will take place at Casa de Pedra, in Bela Vista Park, moderated by the announcer and presenter Catarina Miranda. The first one starts tomorrow and brings together the digital phenomena Mariana Bossy and Favela Lacroix, Alexandre Fonseca from the EuSouDigital movement and Ana Sepúlveda from the 40+LAB project, in an exchange of ideas and visions on how the digitized world can bring generations together and value the best of each.

The countdown continues! A little over a month away from opening the doors of the City of Rock, Rock in Rio launches a new project. It’s called Humanorama Talks and they are a set of conversations, light and relaxed, that bring together specialists, artists, partners and active participants of society in a session to share ideas and visions on topics that the festival considers relevant for building a better world.

How do cities adapt to respond to sustainable concerns and options?
How do we reinvent ourselves after atypical times when, apparently, we moved away?
What is the role of the digital world in bringing generations together?
These are some of the issues that will be addressed in the Humanorama Talks, which will take place on May 10, 17, 24 and 31 at Casa de Pedra (Bela Vista Park), and which will be moderated by the announcer and presenter Catarina Miranda – author from the podcast “Só Mais Cinco Minutos”, confirmed for the Super Bock Digital Stage of this edition of Rock in Rio Lisboa.

The first Talk will take place tomorrow, May 10th, and guests will address how the digital world can bring generations together, generate an exchange of knowledge and add value to each one. To talk about it, no one is better than phenomena from the digital world like Mariana Bossy, host of the Super Bock Digital Stage, and Favela Lacroix, who will also be present on the same stage of the festival. The two confirmed names are joined by Ana Sepúlveda, from the 40+ LAB project and Alexandre Fonseca, from the EuSouDigital movement.

What sets us apart makes us stronger” is the theme of the second talk, which will take place on May 17th and will address plurality – an inexhaustible source of creativity, innovation and empathy that, in addition to Rock Your Street, can be found at every corner of the City of Rock. This conversation has the presence of established names in music and activists such as Johny Hooker (via zoom) and Titica, confirmed for the Rock Your Street stage, as well as Mafalda Ribeiro, speaker and storyteller, Margarida Mateus from the Portuguese Association for Diversity and Inclusion (APPDI) and BNP Paribas.

In the third Talk, which will take place on May 24, the conversation will revolve around “The challenges of cities of the future” – how large urban centres can become increasingly sustainable, minimizing the effects of climate change and offers, simultaneously, a better quality of life for the population in the future. To end this cycle of Humanorama Talks, art and artistic expressions assume the main focus of the conversation and on May 31, guests will show how culture has the power to unite people, communities and dreams. All Humanorama Talks end, of course, with lots of music, in a happy hour moment to the sound of a DJ.

Humanorama Talks comes after the success of the 1st edition of Rock in Rio Humanorama, a festival of conversations that will soon be back and that, in 2021, brought together Portugal and Brazil, receiving more than 250 guests, 80 hours of content, 70 conversations, 30 workshops and more than 20 entertainment activities.
Humanorama Talks are open to the public, free of charge, but with limited places. Entries can be made via email and all information can also be found on the social media pages of @rockinriolisboa and @rockinrio_humanorama.

Remember that Rock in Rio Lisboa is scheduled for the 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th of June 2022, at Parque da Bela Vista, and will undoubtedly be a special edition, in which the doors of the City of Rock reopen to the public after four years, promising the much-desired reunion with music, entertainment and live life. In addition to the big names and shows already announced for Palco Mundo, Galp Music Valley (a stage that “transports” us to the Cities of the Future), Rock Your Street (the street in the rock city that embraces plurality and diversity), Super Bock Digital Stage (a stage where there are TikTokers, YouTubers, new entertainment formats like Podcasts, lots of music, even more humour, hours of fun and, above all, interactivity), and Palco Yorn (a space with the mission to bring neighbourhoods closer to their cities through culture), there is even more news to discover at Continente Chef’s Garden, in addition to a new Game Square and many more experiences that make up the 14 hours of entertainment that the festival offers daily. This is the case of the Somerby Pool Parties, the new circuit dedicated to the families Family Tour, the PiscaPisca Ferris Wheel with themed booths and many surprises and prizes, the 7Up Slide, the ESC Online Sports Bar and all the activations and gifts that further complement the offer from the City of Rock.
