The debut of Madlib in DJ ‘set’ today marks the first day of the ID – No Limits festival in Cascais, which includes Little Dragon, Arca, IAMDDB and Kamaal Williams.
The festival, dedicated to electronic and urban music, is an evolution of the Lisbon Dance Festival, which had three editions, and takes place today and Saturday at the Estoril Congress Center in Cascais.
Today, in addition to Madlib, IAMDDB, Pearson Sound, Vessel Pedro Mafama, Varela, Moullinex, Jacques Greene, Colony Slander, Dead End, Progressivu, Shaka Lion and DJ Nigga Fox perform.
For Saturday are marked the performances of Arca, Little Dragon, Hunee, Meera, Kamaal Williams, Dino D’Santiago, a curator of the Portuguese publisher Parkbeat, Kerox, Photonz, Haai, Rui Maia and Xinobi.
The performances will be divided into five spaces, one of which is an auditorium, with seats. In one of the spaces will work a ‘silent disco’. There will be two DJs per day – Sheru Vari and Nuria, today, and Progressivu and DJ Respect, on Saturday, whose music can only be heard through headphones.
In addition to music, the festival includes an art installation presented by the collective NEKYIA.
The doors of the Estoril Congress Center will open at 7:00 p.m. and the concerts begin at 8:30 p.m., both today and on Saturday.
In order to reach the venue, the promoter established a partnership with CP, and on these days there was a “round-trip train ticket [on the Cascais line], exclusive to ticket holders at the festival”.
In addition, viewers will benefit from a promotion in the electronic services provider in the KAPTEN_ private urban transport area, which will have a collection point next to the site.
MobiCascais will provide bicycles and electric scooters for the trip between the Estoril train station and the Congress Center between 18:30 and 20:30. “The rentals will be free, by presenting a festival ticket and registering at MobiCascais,” the organization said.
