Iminente Festival takes place in September
The 2020 edition of the Iminente Festival will be held in terms different from the usual one in that it will be adapted to the health security conditions to prevent the spread of the covid-19 virus.
The document aims to approve the protocol to be signed between the Lisbon Chamber and Iminente – Produções, Música e Arte, as well as the transfer by the municipality of 250 thousand euros for the event.
The Iminente Festival of 2020 will articulate with local communities more distant from the usual spaces of cultural enjoyment, promoting the collection and minimization of travel, the realization of a collaborative work in order to ensure the total involvement of the community in the programming, implementation and enjoyment of the festival.
A semi-permanent exhibition, workshops, debates and concerts are planned, respecting the rules imposed by the Directorate-General for Health.
This will be the third time that the Iminente Festival will take place at Panorântico de Monsanto, with the first two editions – 2016 and 2017 – being held in the municipality of Oeiras.
The Iminente festival, curated by Alexandre Farto (Vhils), is co-organized by the Underdogs platform and the Lisbon City Council.
On April 4, Iminente held an online Emergency edition, raising 25,975 euros to be delivered to two reference hospitals in the treatment of covid-19 in Portugal.
