Portuguese artist Inês Marques Lucas makes her debut at COOLJAZZ on July 31st, at Hipódromo Manuel Possolo, in Cascais. On the same night, the iconic Jamie Cullum returns to the festival for an electrifying concert, on the last night of the edition celebrating COOLJAZZ’s 20th anniversary.
Inês Marques Lucas has been in contact with music since she was little. At age 5 she learned to play the piano and became inseparable from her guitar. At the age of 15, she started composing her first songs and in September 2023 she released her first album “Horas Mortas”. “Do Avesso”, “Não Restou Nada” and “Sofá” are some of the songs that are part of the artist’s first work, which is one of the most interesting talents on the Portuguese music scene.
Jamie Cullum will take the stage at COOLJAZZ and close the 2024 edition. The artist is a worldwide phenomenon through the boldness of his approach to jazz, assimilating pop into his music. His concerts are truly enthusiastic celebrations, which capture the public’s attention and energy. The night of July 31st is dedicated to the celebration of Jamie Cullum’s career in Portugal together with COOLJAZZ.
The artists confirmed for the celebration of COOLJAZZ’s 20th anniversary are Air, Chaka Khan, Dino D’Santiago and MARO, Diana Krall, Marina Sena and Luedji Luna, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Jamie Cullum and Inês Marques Lucas, from the 9th to the 31st of July.
20 years of COOLJAZZ. Live Experiences presented the first edition of COOLJAZZ in 2004, a different summer festival. As the years went by, there were iconic concerts, artists born at the festival, and the public increasingly surrendered to artistic criteria, as well as the comfort of the space. COOLJAZZ has unquestionably become one of the most important cultural events in the country, assuming its differentiation from year to year and focusing on what distinguishes it: a unique cultural lineup, the unique beauty of the green spaces, the enjoyment of the architectural landscape, the comfort of the place marked at a summer festival and the total focus on sustainability from the first hour of its birth. Live Experiences is proud of 20 years of COOLJAZZ, with many stories made and many to be made.
Live Experiences, which celebrates 25 years of founding, has been the festival’s producer for 20 years and continues to provide unique experiences and emotions to spectators and partners, investing in vibrant and sustainable projects.
COOLJAZZ HAS 3 CONCERTS PER NIGHT
