Infocurso Portal has all the information about 3,800 courses to help you choose the best one

The information has been updated and has data on the higher professional technical courses (TeSP), undergraduate degrees, integrated masters and 2nd cycle masters in Portugal. Altogether, about 3,800 courses are available for applications at 109 higher education institutions.

The Infocursos portal is managed by the Directorate-General for Education and Science Statistics, with the support of the Directorate-General for Higher Education, and has data on the number of students enrolled in each course in the last three years, the distribution by age, sex and nationality, what the students did a year after finishing the course and distributing the final grades of the graduates.

In the case of undergraduate courses, there is still data on the unemployment rate registered in the IEFP of recent graduates, and in master’s degrees you can have direct access to the most recent master’s dissertations carried out in the course.

Among the more than 3,800 courses are 465 of the higher professional technical courses (TeSP), 1,671 undergraduate courses and integrated master’s degrees and 1,695 undergraduate courses for the 2nd cycle.

In addition to data by course, the Infocursos portal also presents national statistics, with the evolution of the main indicators about the percentage of students who remain in the same course one year after being enrolled, or the rate of those who enroll in the unemployment fund. after completing the course.

The first phase of higher education entrance exams began on July 6 and runs until July 23, with results posted on August 3. The second phase this year was relegated to September due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and runs from September 1st to 7th, with results revealed on September 16th.

The dates for applications to the national competition for access to Higher Education in 2020 also had to be changed. The first phase runs from August 7 to August 23, while the second phase only begins on September 28, extending to October 9. There is also a third phase that begins on October 22nd and ends on October 26th.

This year, 2,370 new vacancies were opened for students in vocational and artistic education. Three consortia of Higher Education institutions were created, which ensure the realization of specific exams, with a view to providing access to these new vacancies, covering 456 degrees.

The consortia comprise polytechnic institutions and the universities of the Azores, Algarve, Évora, Madeira and Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro. In these cases, the specific tests take place in the week of July 20-24, with different dates for the various regions of the country.
