One of the strongest days expected at O Sol da Caparica with big names on the bill did not disappoint, Insert Coin, Cubinho, Bárbara Bandeira, Capicua, Gilsons, Filipe Karlsson, Os Quatro e Meia and Xutos & Pontapés, made a huge the party that spread from the youngest to the least young, on a scorching day, with music for all tastes and joy.
The main stage featured this Saturday the madness and joy of Insert Coin, Danni Gato, the fantastic Bárbara Bandeira, the incredible Os Quatro e Meia and Xutos, who, as always, make each show an unforgettable moment.
Insert Coin is a Portuguese duo composed of João Paulo Sousa and Joel Rodrigues, who conquered the country with their unique style of party entertainment. Although they don’t consider themselves traditional DJs, they are true masters at creating a contagious party atmosphere.

His performances in major clubs and festivals in Portugal and internationally are recognized for the quality he presents.

The lyrics of Os Quatro e Meia’s songs talk about everyday life, about love, friendship and dreams, genuinely connecting with the public. The band’s shows were full of contagious energy, interacting with the public and creating a great party.
The band’s music brings together different musical styles, from pop to rock, but always with its own identity, transmitting a positive and contagious energy, capable of brightening up any day.
After this parade of stars, nothing would be better than ending this Sol da Caparica day with the legendary Xutos and Pontapés.
Xutos & Pontapés are one of the most iconic and influential bands in Portuguese rock music. Formed in 1978, Xutos marked and continues to mark generations with their authentic lyrics, melodies and energy on stage.
The band was born in Lisbon when a group of friends decided to combine their passions for music and form a band. Initially called “Delirium Tremens”, they soon adopted the name that would make them famous.
With landmark albums such as Circo de Feras and Duro, Xutos won over the public and became one of the biggest names in Portuguese rock. Throughout their incredible career, the band released several hits that became true anthems, “A Minha Casinha”, “Contentores” and “Para Ti Maria” are part of Portuguese musical memory.
The lyrics of Xutos’ songs are marked by great authenticity, everyday life, love, friendship and social criticism are one of the reasons for their success. Xutos & Pontapés influenced several generations of Portuguese musicians and are considered one of the pillars of national rock.
The other three stages, again, also received a lot of attention from the Sol audience. On the Almada stage, we had the songs that came to us from Alentejo with Magano, and then we heard the melodies from Cape Verde with Vozes do Mindelo, followed by Ivo Palitos and Palavra Futuro, on the Costa stage we could see Filipe Karlsson who opened the stage and which always attracts a lot of loyal fans to their shows, Jazzy and MC made everyone who passed by happy.
On the Bandida do Pomar stage, we had a lot of laughs again, yesterday led by João Pinto, Carlos Contente and Cubinho, composed of António Azevedo Coutinho, Ricardo Maria and Vítor Sá, the collective CUBO, presented a relaxed mood, covering a variety of themes In a fun and irreverent way, the trio became popular with the Portuguese podcast Cubinho.
The podcast has gained a large audience thanks to the charisma of the presenters. The episodes generally follow a free format, where the three friends talk about everyday topics, share personal experiences and exchange jokes.
The success of Cubinho led the CUBO collective to expand its operations to other formats. In addition to the podcast, they also perform live shows, where they take the program’s humour to the stage, interacting with the audience directly and spontaneously.
This was followed by concerts by Bué Tolo with the eternal melodies of Brazil, José Pinhal Post-Mortem Experience, a tribute band to the legacy of José Pinhal, an undervalued master of dance music originally from Sendim, with his musical career marked by his past life in Santa Cruz do Bispo, Matosinhos.
To pay homage to the work of this legendary singer, an original musical project appears on the night of the show “O João Faz Anos” which celebrates the birthday of 3 friends called João. João Sarnadas (one of the birthday boys) proposes to find a band in honour of José Pinhal to debut that night.
Integrating members of Favela Discos, Bruno de Seda and Suave Geração, José Pinhal Post-Mortem Experience was born in 2016.
Several shows followed, and interest in the singer and the band has increased noticeably with each passing year, reflecting the growing trajectory that the musical group has had in recent times.
Capicua was the next artist on stage Bandida do Pomar, the artistic name of Ana Matos Fernandes, an unavoidable figure on the Portuguese hip-hop scene. With her powerful voice and lyrics loaded with social meaning, she continues to conquer every stage she goes to, taking a prominent place in national music.
Born in Porto, Capicua began her musical career in graffiti but quickly found her true passion in rap. Her lyrics address themes such as feminism, equality, racism and social issues, making her a critical and conscious voice in Portuguese music.

In addition to her music, Capicua is a reference for new generations of artists, being an inspiration for women who want to pursue a career in hip-hop. Her work contributed to the visibility of female hip-hop in Portugal and to the construction of a more inclusive and egalitarian culture.
Yesterday he once again made his voice heard in the Sol, which gave the festival more shine.
The stage closed with Gilsons, composed of José Gil, Francisco Gil and João Gil, respectively the son and grandchildren of Gilberto Gil, with a fresh and contemporary sound, with deep roots in Brazilian music.
The Gilsons trio represents a new generation of musicians who honour their family’s musical legacy, but also bring a unique and innovative perspective. His music is a harmonious mix of MPB, pop and contemporary elements, resulting in an engaging and energetic sound that won over the large audience who didn’t want to miss his performance at Sol.
With their debut EP Various Queixas, released in 2019, Gilsons quickly won over the public and specialized critics. The album was a success, presenting mature and promising work. In 2022, the trio released their first studio album, Pra Gente Acordar, with which they consolidated their position in the Brazilian music scene.
Gilsons is a musical phenomenon that represents the renewal of Brazilian music, full of talent, charisma and a genuine connection with fans.
