Instagram announced a new feature that allows access to profiles through a QR Code. All users will then be able to generate codes that are read through the smartphone camera. The first launch of the innovation was made in Japan last year.
Instagram’s goal is for companies to generate a QR Code, print it out and allow customers to scan it to easily reach their social network accounts and thus buy products and have access to information such as opening hours stores.
To generate the QR code, you must access the profile settings menu and click on the QR code. In the meantime, you can still find Nametags, internal QR codes similar to those that could only be read by the Instagram camera. This is a feature, however, that will be discontinued by pp.
To read a QR code, you can access the camera on your smat phone, as long as you have this feature, or use the stories camera for this purpose.
