InterContinental Porto presents Exhibition “Women” by Maria Godinho
The hotel announces the start of a unique exhibition that will transform the hotel into a true art gallery over the next three months. From January to March 2024, the immersive collection “Women”, by renowned artist Maria Godinho, will be on display in various areas of the hotel, turning each space into an artistic discovery.
Through Maria Godinho’s expressive palette, the “Women” exhibition is a celebration of the beauty, diversity and complexity of women. The female figure in various shapes, details and colours where each one conveys feeling, and culture and reflects on the power, beauty and delicacy of each face. The work will be displayed in various areas of the hotel, including the lobby, reception, the Astória restaurant and the wellness centre, and the paintings will also be available for purchase.
“In this art exhibition, I celebrate the beauty and diversity of women through painting, which is why I present a vibrant and eclectic collection of portraits and the female figure. My creations are characterized by a figurative/abstract style with defined shapes, and I normally use the spatula to give more strength, texture and movement to the work. My work reflects what is in my soul”, explains Maria Godinho.
This initiative is part of InterContinental Porto’s ongoing commitment to strengthening ties with the local artistic community.
