The Institute of Cultural Heritage (IPC) launched, online, the platform of the National Inventory of Cultural Heritage, in which 648 of the 1100 inventory items have been introduced nationwide.
This inventory, launched on the occasion of the World Heritage Day celebrations, according to the IPC, is an asset management tool that provides the basis for the definition of public policies, with the aim of preserving and valuing the historical heritage legacy that represents cultural identity and collective memory of a people.
“An ambitious project, aimed at developing actions to preserve monuments, sites and historic centers, as well as the protection of the entire national heritage legacy, as defined in the Legal Regime of Cultural Heritage of Cabo Verde, approved by Parliament and published in April 20,” reads the statement.
