IRMA confirmed at Montreux Jazz Festival

IRMA was confirmed at one of the most prestigious festivals in the world, the Montreux Jazz Festival, with a concert scheduled for the 11th of July.

Alongside names like John Legend, Diana Ross, Michael Kiwanuka, Years & Years, and A-HA, IRMA joins the lineup of the 56th edition of the iconic festival.

The first edition was held at the Montreux Casino, featuring almost exclusively jazz musicians, with artists such as Elis Regina, Keith Jarrett, Bill Evans, Nina Simone, Jan Garbarek, and Ella Fitzgerald. Since then it has become a world reference, diversifying its musical range and, although jazz remains a central part, it has spread to other styles and cultures. The current version of the festival lasts about two weeks and attracts an average of more than 200,000 people in each edition.

At the moment, IRMA is getting ready to reveal to the public its new project ‘Filha da Tuga’. ‘Filha da Tuga’ is an EP that succeeds ‘PRIMAVERA‘, the artist’s debut album, and has a release date scheduled for June 24th. This EP includes ‘Próxima Vez‘ and ‘Fica Comigo’, the first advances of the project that are already available on all digital platforms.
