Iron Maiden will play at the National Stadium in 2020

Iron Maiden will return to Portugal on July 23, 2020, this time to perform at the National Stadium in Oeiras as part of their ‘Legacy of the Beast’ tour. The band celebrates this year 45 years of career.

This will be the 19th concert of the British band in Portugal, having been last at the Altice Arena in 2018.

The concert at the National Stadium in Oeiras will feature Australian band Airbourne and Within Temptation as special guests.

“This tour has been fantastic for the band, and in every concert the reactions to the scenery, the stage, all the crazy props (and Eddie!) Have been phenomenal. We’re having so much fun that we’re really excited that we can return to Portugal and play for even more fans, “said lead singer Bruce Dickinson, quoted in the Prime Artists statement.

The July concert, which is promised a “classic lineup,” will take place two years after the performance at the Altice Arena, which was already on the same continuing tour.

Founded in the mid-1970s, the British Iron Maiden have been a recurring presence in Portugal, with bassist Steve Harris having had a bar in Faro for over 20 years. The band was even headliner of the 2011 edition of Motorcycle Concentration of the Algarve capital.

The first album with Bruce Dickinson in voice, ‘The Number of the Beast’ (1982), has definitely projected them to the forefront of the music genre, being authors of multiple metal classics such as’ Somewhere in Time ‘and’ Fear of the Dark ‘.

Tickets, priced between 60 and 75 euros, will go on pre-sale starting next Tuesday.
