ISEG Executive Education launches 2nd edition of the first Sustainable Finance program

A more widespread awareness of the risks associated with climate change implies a profound change in the identification of requirements for the business of the future and for its financing.

Sustainable Finance is just that, forms of financing and project analysis that allow investors and economies to develop economic activity consistent with a long-term vision. 2021 will be a decisive year, as the theme has been gaining more and more prominence in the European and corporate agenda.

The European Union intends to align the financial sector with the European Green Agreement and its environmental objectives. Thus, it becomes increasingly urgent to incorporate environmental concerns into economic growth models, in order to make them more sustainable.

It was based on this scenario that ISEG Executive Education recently launched the 2nd edition of Sustainable Finance, the first executive program in the area of ​​Sustainable Finance in Portugal, which has the institutional support of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Action and a special participation of Abreu Advogados. As in the previous year, the Gulbenkian Foundation will award 5 scholarships, and Grosvenor plus one, which is equivalent to the offer of enrollments in the program.

This training addresses various issues such as the Paris Agreement, the Redefinition of Growth, Circular Economy, Due Diligence ESG: environment, social and governance in the risk analysis of organizations, Sustainable Financial Products and Sustainable Asset Management. The goal is for participants to understand the topics discussed through experimentation and active debate of ideas, concepts and their applicability.

In addition to having professors with valuable experience in sustainable finance at international level, the executive course stands out for every day including the presentation of real cases, such as EDP, Grupo Pestana and BNP Paribas, with the personal intervention of the heads of these entities, such as Miguel Stilwell de Andrade, José Theotónio or Sebastien Soleille.

In a course full of personalities, participants will also be able to benefit from the Lunchtime Talks provided by exceptional guests, including Pedro Siza Vieira, Minister of State, Economy and Digital Transition, Jorge Moreira da Silva, Director of the OECD Development Co -operation Directorate; Ricardo Mourinho Félix, Vice President of the European Investment Bank, Gabriela Figueiredo Dias, president of CMVM and Isabel Ucha, CEO of Euronext Lisbon.
