ISEG Finance students are among the best in Europe

Masters in Finance students at Lisbon School of Economics & Management are in the TOP 4 in Europe

ISEG has just reached the TOP 4 of the European regional final of the CFA Challenge, the largest global competition for finance students, which this year was held by video conference due to Covid-19.

Masters in Finance students at the Lisbon School of Economics & Management ranked among the top 4 in the EMEA region and, consequently, in the Top 20 World CFA Challenge.

The ISEG team represented Portugal in the European final, after winning the national competition in the last 4 years. ISEG is the only Portuguese college to reach the top in the regional finals, which also happened in 2018 and 2019. In this edition, only 20 business schools worldwide reach the big stage of the regional finals, in a competition in which about 1,200 schools and more than 5,000 finance students from around the world.

“ISEG was, once again, the Faculty that won the competition between the Masters of Finance in Portugal, qualifying to represent the country in the regional final of this important world competition. With the guidance of Prof. Victor Barros, our students made us proud for the demonstration that made the quality of our training very complete, both in technical aspects, in the ability to forecast, in teamwork and the ability to overcome oneself ”, confesses Clara Raposo, President of ISEG. “These are impartial and independent initiatives that prove how ISEG students stand out and differentiate themselves for their excellence in terms of practical knowledge and soft skills”, adds Clara.

The ISEG team this year was composed by students Arthur Pinheiro, Margarida Alpalhão, Patrícia Ferreira, César Teixeira and Jorge Faria, with the participation being coordinated by Professor Victor Barros.
