ISRAEL FERNÁNDEZ & DIEGO DEL MORAO

  • in the 1st half by António Zambujo, Camané and Ricardo Ribeiro
  • June 29th

Israel Fernández was born into a gypsy family in Corral de Almaguer (Toledo). The singer combines the best of the flamenco tradition with his very own style of singing. Since 2015 he sings in the company of Sara Baras. On their third album, “Universo Pastora”, Israel pays homage to one of the most important figures in the history of flamenco: Pastora Pavón (“La Niña de los Peines”). He faithfully maintains the essence of the art, while putting his own stamp on each interpretation. The result is a work of art in which we can feel two hearts in harmony. Israel Fernández thus represents Flamenco in its purest state. His wide knowledge of the genre, his fine-tuning, his sense of rhythm and beat, the sweetness of his voice, and his natural sensitivity make this singer from Toledo one of the main figures of Flamenco made today.

Diego del Morao is considered one of the best Flamenco guitarists of our time. His genius as an artist, his particular sense of rhythm, and his truly inexhaustible creativity make him a true “guitar magician”, as many call him. Regular guitarist for artists such as Diego el Cigala, Diego Carrasco, José Mercé, Niña Pastori, among others, it is no wonder that Diego has received great praise from master and teacher Paco de Lucía.

Israel and Diego teamed up on the album “Amor” and promise to conquer the Portuguese public with this partnership, also live, at the Festival Jardins do Marquês – Oeiras Valley. The duo performs on June 29, in the first part of the concert in which António Zambujo, Camané, and Ricardo Ribeiro sing Brazil.

  • July 1st

The concert will also include themes from his latest work, “Vela Bandeira”, such as “Com Vista Pro Mar”, a partnership with Melody Gardot, or “Retratos De Inverno”, recorded in Duet with Rita Redshoes An intimate concert is expected, walking between jazz and bossa nova, where Pierre Aderne will be accompanied by Argentines Marcelo Woloski (percussionist of Snarky Puppy) and Martin Sued (bandoneón), and Brazilians Luis Filipe De Lima (seven strings) and Luciano Maia (accordion). He will also visit some of his best-known songs, such as “A Sombra Do Meu Chapéu”, “Guia” and “Mina Do Condomínio”, recorded, respectively, by the Rua Das Pretas project, Antonio Zambujo, and Seu Jorge, Pierre Aderne will take all of his irresistible songs to the stage at Jardins do Marquês-Oeiras Valley, on July 1st.

The Black Mamba is one of the most energetic, exciting, and passionate Portuguese bands performing live in Portugal. They are a true world band that has already taken their “poison” to Spain, Brazil, the USA, and the United Kingdom, among others. In 2021 they won the Festival da Canção and participated brilliantly in Eurovision with the theme “Love Is On My Side”. The Black Mamba is preparing their fourth album: “Last Night in Amsterdam”. This record is inspired by the band’s trip to Amsterdam and stories of life in the city in the 70s. This is a soul, funk, R&B album, from which songs like “Love Is On My Side”, “Crazy Nando “, “Sweet Amsterdam” and “Love Is Dope”. The Black Mamba will continue to make its way into the music industry. There is no doubt that they are already a consolidated success and their “sting” is not only strong, but is, and will continue to be, persistent.
