Italy beats Switzerland and guarantees passage to the ’round of 16′

The Italian team, today guaranteed the passage to the round of 16 after beating Switzerland by 3-0, in a Group A game, having already added 6 points and with a game yet to play.

Locatelli scored the first two goals and Immobile sealed the result against the Swiss, who played at the Olimpico in Rome.

Italy is thus the first team to guarantee the passage to the round of 16, a team that has already scored six goals and hasn’t conceded any yet, doesn’t even concede goals in ten games and assumes itself as one of the candidates to win the competition.

The Italian team came into the game determined to quickly solve the game and move to the last 16, completely dominated Switzerland and it was natural that they reached the goal, in the 26th minute, by Locatelli, after a fantastic forward by Berardi who passed to Locatelli, who he just had to push into the goal.

Shortly after the start of the second half, Manuel Locatelli scored again, in the 52nd minute with a well-aimed shot, he scored the second for the “Squadra azzurra“.

At the end of the game would be Immobile, after two attempts in which they missed the target, scored the third for Italy, with a shot from outside the area. Switzerland was a team that showed little in this game, that had 2 or 3 scoring opportunities in the game and that will have to show much more in the game with the Turks to be able to aspire to move forward.

They finished the second round of Group A with Italy with six points, Wales with four points, Switzerland with 1 point and Turkey still without points.
