ITSECTOR bets on IPB technology students

ITSector, technology specialist in software development for the financial sector and the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB) signed this afternoon, at Brigantia EcoPark, a collaboration protocol that provides for the integration of students from the IPB technology area courses in the Center of Advanced Technologies (CETAN) of ITSector in Bragança.

[dropcap type=”default”]S[/dropcap]igned in the presence of the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Manuel Heitor, this protocol establishes that students in the areas of Computer and Information Technology specialization, as well as students in the specific areas of the Center for Research in Scanning and Robotics Intelligent Institute of IPB, will be able to be integrated in the CETAN of ITSector in Bragança, within the scope of internship programs and end-of-course projects, with a view to their training in a work context.

IPB students will have the opportunity to experience the specific contexts of our activity in Bragança, which is based on the development of critical systems in the financial area, and it is our goal to prepare them professionally for future integration in the ITSector frameworks in Bragança, ” said Maria Inês Domingues, ITSector HR Director in real press and sent to PortugaliNews.

The protocol concluded between the IPB and ITSector also foresees the exchange of specialists between the parties, through the collaboration of ITSector staff in teaching activities of specific disciplines in that institution of higher education, through the organization of workshops and short seminars duration of regular teaching.

The cooperation between the IPB and the technological one based in Oporto also includes the commitment of both parties to make efforts to identify training areas and to design or adapt curriculum plans accordingly.

It is recalled that in December, ITSector announced that it is in the process of recruiting, aiming to increase the number of employees of CETAN in Bragança, where it will triple its facilities in Brigantia EcoPark, aiming to reach a total of 80 employees by the end of 2019.

Due to the shortage of human resources available in the IT area in Portugal, a phenomenon that is expanding in the interior regions of the country, the company intends to give opportunities to places that want to develop their technological career or that wish to return to their homeland, indicating being on the lookout for various profiles, from functional analysts, to programmers, project managers and testers.

Founded in Porto in 2005, and with Advanced Technologies Centers located in Lisbon, Braga, Aveiro and Bragança, ITSector also has offices in Poland, Germany, Angola, Mozambique and Kenya.
