Emotions, a manifestation of the interaction between the body and mind, are an intrinsic element of the human experience. This is the premise that serves as the motto for the first show presented by ITZ-Intranzyt Cia.® in 2024: The Inescapable Cascade of Any Odd Event.
To kick off the season in the best possible way, the dance company based in Vila Nova de Famalicão challenged the Chinese choreographer and dancer Menghan Lou – a frequent guest of companies such as the Nederlands Dans Theatre, the Korzo theater in The Hague, the Shanghai Dance Theatre, the Bayerisches Staatsballett and the Los Angeles Ballet – developing an original creation. The show will be on stage at Casa das Artes de Famalicão, on February 29th and March 1st, at 9:30 pm, followed by a national and international tour.
The Inescapable Cascade of Any Odd Event is the result of Menghan Lou’s seven-week work with the company, focused on developing the connection between the body and mind, as well as the physical expression of emotions. ITZ-Intranzyt Cia.® continues, in this way, to build a varied and multidisciplinary repertoire, the result of collaboration with national and international artists, creating unique opportunities for young dancers in the transition phase to the world of professional dance. Tickets are available on the BOL platform, costing six euros for the general public and three euros for students, seniors and Quadrilátero Cultural card holders.
