Ivan Domingues at the Austrian GP: “We need to keep working in a very humble way”

Ivan Domingues returns to the track this weekend to compete in the Austrian Formula 3 Grand Prix, which marks the start of the second half of the season.

In his debut year in this discipline, the Portuguese driver, who won the sprint race at the Spanish GP, is focused on continuing to take solid steps in his development.

The 19-year-old rookie from Leiria is the only Portuguese driver in the Formula 3 World Championship, an extremely competitive category where 30 drivers fight intensely for a spot, and which has had six different winners in the ten races already held. In Austria, he will face a very fast and demanding circuit, with ten corners, six of which are high-speed.

“We arrived in Austria with our feet firmly on the ground, aware that the victory in Barcelona, although very special, is just that, a victory. We need to continue working very humbly to take more consistent steps in our evolution in Formula 3. We know that nothing is guaranteed, especially in a championship where competitiveness and the slightest setback can be highly penalising. That is why we are very focused and will try to do our best”, said the driver, who represents the new generation of Portuguese talents on the international stage.
