When music, the road, and collective energy collide: Leiria welcomes a rock icon and another historic show featuring 1,000 musicians.
Leiria will vibrate to the sounds of the world’s biggest rock show, Rockin’ 1000, which arrives at the Dr. Magalhães Pessoa Municipal Stadium on September 6th.
The energy of 1,000 musicians is further enhanced with the addition of IVECO and Wayfer—the brand’s Official Dealer for the districts of Leiria and Coimbra—as official sponsors, and with a surprise that will mark the history of live music in Portugal: a limited-edition Metallica truck, bearing the musicians’ signature, will be present in Leiria.
More than a vehicle, this truck is a symbol of the road and rock. In Leiria, it will not only be a unique attraction for the Portuguese public—on display on September 4th and 5th next to the stadium and inside during the show—but also the inspiration for one of the most anticipated moments of the night: a thousand musicians playing in unison “Enter Sandman,” a song that has now been announced in the lineup as a unique tribute to Metallica’s timeless energy.
This partnership reinforces IVECO and Wayfer’s commitment to culture, music, and the local community, bringing them closer to an event that shares the same values: unity, passion, and collective energy.
A TRUCK THAT CARRIES METALLICA’S ENERGY
Since the 1980s, IVECO has accompanied the biggest names in world music, ensuring that stages, instruments, and dreams reach their destinations. The collaboration with Metallica is one of the most iconic examples of this heritage: a truck that carries not only equipment, but the energy and passion of millions of fans.
Now, this limited-edition truck will be one of the main attractions at Rockin’ 1000 in Leiria – an unprecedented opportunity for the Portuguese public to see a piece of living rock history up close. The truck will be on display outside the stadium on September 4th and 5th, and will then be inside the stadium during the incredible show expected.
This tribute will also extend to the stage: the previously announced tracklist now includes “Enter Sandman,” honouring Metallica’s legacy in rock music in a moment that promises to be remarkable, with 1,000 musicians performing the song in perfect harmony.

New for 2025: For the first time, Rockin’1000 Portugal will feature reserved seating, allowing spectators to choose their seats in the stadium in advance. This innovation is designed to ensure greater comfort, better visibility, and an even more immersive experience at the show.
