J Balvin confirmed at the MEO Marés Vivas festival
J Balvin, the Colombian reggaeton singer and songwriter, takes the main stage of MEO Marés Vivas on July 15th.
The artist will perform on the main stage of the festival mixing Colombian rhythms with reggaeton, in a night that promises to be a party.
J Balvin released his debut album, “Real”, in 2010. In 2011, “El Negocio” and in 2013, “La Familia”. From this album, the single with which Balvin won the Latin Grammy for Best Urban Music Song “Ay Vamos” was removed.
The album that followed, “Energía”, released in 2016, earned him another Latin Grammy, this time for Best Urban Music Album.
In June 2017, he released his most successful single in the world, “Mi Gente”, a hit that featured two versions of other giants, Steve Aoki and Beyoncé. The theme dethroned “Despacito” from the top of the streaming chart after it spent 14 weeks at the top of Latin megahits. The theme broke records on Youtube: it is the Latin song that quickly passed the 500 million views mark. Moreover, “Mi Gente” reached #1 on Spotify and Shazam.
J Balvin has collaborations with Pharrell Williams, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber and Maroon 5. In November 2017, he released the hit “Downtown”, with Anitta.
In May 2018, J Balvin released his fifth album “Vibras” in which the singles “Machika” and “Ahora” stood out.
In November 2019, J Balvin released the song “Blanco” on all digital platforms to promote his next album, “Colores”, where each song is named after one of the colors of the rainbow: “Amarillo”, “Azul ”, “Rojo”, “Rosa”, “Morado”, “Verde”, “Negro”, “Gris” and “Blanco”.
In 2020, the song and music video premieres: “Un Día (One Day)” alongside Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny and Tainy and this year the EP “Sigue/Forever My Love” with Ed Sheeran.
