You can now hear the 20 songs of the 2021 Song Festival, which will take place from February 20 to March 6
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he next edition of Festival da Canção has the motto #OFestivalÉNosso (“TheFestivalis Ours”) and now you can hear all the entries that compete to represent Portugal in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, scheduled for May, in Rotterdam.
The 2021 edition of the Festival da Canção broadly resumes the model of previous years and has 20 songs in the competition. Of these, 18 result from direct invitations from RTP, once again taking into account the representation of the diversity of musical genres and artists with public work.
The news are in the remaining entries, with the selection of two authors through the free submission of songs. This year, RTP recorded the largest participation ever in this submission format, with 693 model contributions via e-mail.
The first semifinal, scheduled for February 20, will be conducted by Jorge Gabriel and Sónia Araújo and will perform Nadine with “Cheguei Aqui“, Fábia Maia with “Dia Lindo“, Sara Afonso with “Contramão“, Valéria with “Na mais Profunda Saudade“, Ian with “Mundo“, Irma with “Livros“, Karetus and Romeu Bairos with “Saudade“, Miguel Marôco with “Girassol“, Mema with “Claro como Água“, and The Black Mamba with “Love is On my Side“.
The second semifinal, scheduled for February 27, will be conducted by Tânia Ribas de Oliveira and José Carlos Malato and will perform Carolina Deslandes with “Por um Triz“, Da Chick with “I Got Music“, Joana Alegre with “Joana do Mar“, Graciela with “A vida sem acontecer“, Neev with “Dancing in the Stars“, Eu.Clides with “Volte-Face“, Pedro Gonçalves with “Não vou Ficar“, Tainá with “Jasmim“, Ariana with “Mundo Melhor“, and Ana Tereza with “Com um Abraço“. The grand final to choose the winner will be presented by Filomena Cautela and Vasco Palmeirim and is scheduled for March 6, in a place yet to be announced.
