After debuting with “Amigos Coloridos” — one of the most listened to songs on national radio stations when it was released —, the five singer-songwriters from Belo Horizonte return to releasing their songs with a disarming song.
With a family atmosphere in the background and printed declarations of love, Bandidos do Cante continue to reveal their identity between Alentejo cante and the pop influences they bring in the few songs they have released.
With their second original single, this “gang of five” returns to enchant with full lungs and hearts in their mouths with a ballad in the beautiful Alentejo style.
“Já Não Há Pardais No Céu” follows “Amigos Coloridos”, the first song released by the group formed by old friends Miguel Costa, Duarte Farias, Francisco Raposo, Luís Aleixo and Francisco Pestana. Despite the group’s young age — and the inherent youth of each member — they have been singing traditional music from the region that brought them together since their adolescence for a number of years, a chemistry that is evident in the unity they now demonstrate as they establish themselves as a band that has more than 100,000 monthly listeners on digital platforms.
Sponsored by D.A.M.A and Buba Espinho, it was with them that they debuted at the Coliseu for the first time in 2023. The following year, there were more than forty dates on the band’s calendar. And in 2025, for two consecutive nights they performed in front of a packed Coliseu dos Recreios, on the occasion of shows given by fellow artist Buba Espinho, with whom they collaborated on “Um dia hei de voltar” and “É o que É” — a song that features D.A.M.A as hosts of the song. From there to “Amigos Coloridos” and “Já Não Há Pardais No Céu” were two leaps without borders, with eyes set on the smiling horizon that awaits them: the Spring of the Bandidos do Cante is about to arrive.
