Shortly, California has created a new lottery jackpot. The trick to achieving this is to kill the winner before sunset so you can legally claim the multi-million dollar prize. When Katie Kim (Awkwafina) moves to Los Angeles, she finds the winning ticket by mistake. Desperate to survive the attempts of jackpot hunters, she reluctantly joins forces with amateur lottery protection agent Noel Cassidy (John Cena), who will do everything he can to keep her alive until the sun sets, to receive a cut of the prize. But Noel will have to face his cunning rival Louis Lewis (Simu Liu), who also wants Katie’s commission at all costs.
JACKPOT! stars Awkwafina and John Cena, joined in the cast by names such as Ayden Mayeri, Donald Elise Watkins, Sam Asghari, Murray Hill and Simu Liu. The film was written by Rob Yesome and produced by Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, Paul Feig and Laura Fischer, with executive production by John Cena, Michelle Morrissey, Rob Yescombe and Zack Roth.
