Jacob Collier is back with new album, “Djesse Vol. 4”, now available

The musician will begin his biggest European tour in Lisbon, on November 2nd, at Sala Tejo at Altice Arena.

It’s been five years since Jacob Collier embarked on the epic musical journey of “Djesse”. What started as an ambitious idea to make a massive album in 2018, has turned into a broad vision of a four-part series that encompasses every musical genre under the sun, culminating in a grand finale that combines all the elements that came before. Through three GRAMMY wins, six nominations including for 2020’s Album of the Year for Vol. 3, dozens of collaborations and hundreds of performances, Collier’s talent and imagination have continued to exceed his stratospheric expectations and taken fans to expect the unexpected. Today the long-awaited final chapter of this historic series in his career arrives in stores and digital platforms: Djesse Vol. 4.

Raised in his famous home studio and on the road while touring the world, Djesse explored and expanded Collier’s wildest creative dreams. Although his music is proudly unclassifiable, Collier enters a distinct sonic universe with each volume. With Vol. 4, the saga ends with the incandescent combination of narrative arcs, alchemizing a full spectrum of emotions into a massive, joyful moment of awakening and human potential.

Djesse Vol. 4 includes a surprisingly impressive list of contributors. Chris Martin, John Legend, aespa, Tori Kelly, Madison Cunningham, Chris Thile, Yelle, CHIKA, Anoushka Shankar, The Aeolians 2018 Choir, Lindsey Lomis, his mother, Suzie Collier, and others join the already revealed Shawn Mendes, Stormzy, Kirk Franklin, John Mayer, Lizzy McAlpine, Brandi Carlile, Michael McDonald, Lawrence and the “Audience Choir”, made up of recordings of the voices of 150,000 fans around the world. Djesse comprises 53 songs and welcomes an unprecedented roster of nearly 50 artists from every corner of the music industry, plus a multitude of choirs, orchestras and more in Collier’s singular world. The list of special guests ranges from Ty Dolla $ign, T-Pain, Jessie Reyez and Daniel Caesar, to Kimbra, Rapsody, JoJo, Lianne La Havas, Oumou Sangare, Hamid El Kasri, Laura Mvula, Steve Vai, Take 6 or the Collier’s mother.

Throughout Djesse’s evolution, Jacob Collier’s career has achieved tremendous achievements as a solo artist headlining the world’s biggest stages, and as a sought-after collaborator. Djesse has given Collier three GRAMMY Awards and six nominations. Overall, Collier was a 5-time winner and 11 nominees, making him the first British artist in history to win four Grammys for each of his first four albums. He has also collaborated extensively with Coldplay and Chris Martin, having performed with the group on “Saturday Night Live”, as a special guest at their concerts at Wembley Stadium, and on the album Music of the Spheres. He’s also contributed to major hits including SZA’s “Good Days” and songs by Lizzy McAlpine and Kehlani, and launched an exclusive line of music-making Crocs. Collier has recorded two NPR Tiny Desks, spoken at TED Talks and performed on TV shows around the world, including the BBC’s “Later with Jools Holland,” “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon”, among others.

Meanwhile, the singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and five-time Grammy winner announced his biggest European tour ever. Produced by Live Nation, this tour kicks off in Lisbon on November 2nd at the Sala Tejo at Altice Arena, and will also visit 20 other European cities and ends in the United Kingdom with a special concert at the O2 Arena, in London – his hometown.
