Christmas Dinner and Lunch with Panoramic Views of the Serra da Estrela Mountains

Located atop the hill overlooking the city’s castle and boasting breathtaking panoramic views of Castelo Branco, the border region, and the Serra da Estrela mountain range, the Meliá Castelo Branco Hotel has prepared a special gastronomic program for December 24th and 25th, promising memorable moments at the table.

For Christmas Eve, the Cozinha do Castelo Restaurant will serve a buffet dinner with a selection of salads, savoury pastries, charcuterie, and regional cheeses, as well as a vegetarian option of Mushrooms à Brás. The meal will culminate with a buffet of Christmas sweets and sliced ​​fruit.

The celebration will continue with an intimate supper by the fireplace in the Lobby Bar, featuring a buffet including Caldo Verde (Portuguese green soup) with cornbread, stuffed pork loin with pineapple, savory snacks, assorted charcuterie and regional cheeses, accompanied by an irresistible dessert table with classics such as Bolo-Rei (King Cake), Yule Log, Rabanadas (French toast), Filhoses (Portuguese fritters), Sonhos (Portuguese doughnuts) and Tigela das Beiras (a traditional Portuguese dessert).

On the 25th, lunch will include dishes such as grilled octopus with smashed potatoes, roasted goat on the hill, duck rice with regional cured meats and vegetarian Bolognese, not forgetting traditional Christmas sweets and fresh fruit.
