Jaqueline Carvalho performed “Meu Fado” at Casino Estoril

The fado singer Jaqueline Carvalho presented last Wednesday, the project “Meu Fado” at Casino Estoril. The interpreter made her debut on the stage of Lounge D to star in an intimate show that won over the public.

With a dynamic lineup, the fado singer interacted with the audience and interpreted, over the course of two hours, numerous compositions that marked different eras and generations.

“Veio a Saudade”, “Júlia Florista”, “Tradição”, “Nem às Paredes Confesso”, “Tudo Isto É Fado”, “Rosa Branca”, “Ai Mouraria”, “Alfama”, “Filha das Ervas”, “Bailado”, “Eu Dantes Cantava”, “Amor de Mel”, “Canto o Fado”, “Rua do Capelão”, “Segue o Teu Rumo”, “Meia-Noite” and “Mouraria”  were just some of the themes interpreted by Jaqueline Carvalho.

It should be remembered that Jaqueline Carvalho participated in the television program “Got Talent”, on RTP 1, in 2016, in which she distinguished herself and saw her talent recognized, having obtained four “yes” from the judges. Already, in 2010, she showed her interpretive qualities, when she paid tribute to Simone de Oliveira, her godmother in music, on the SIC program “A vida é Bela”.

With a consolidated career in the fado scene, Jaqueline Carvalho has been part of the Elétrico 28 fado cast for almost a decade. She was also a resident for eight years in one of the oldest and most emblematic fado houses in Lisbon, “Pátio de Santana”, integrating a large cast and always accompanied by notable musicians.
