Estoril Casino Gardens receive 2nd stage of the National Skate Championship

27 to 30 of June

From 27 to 30 June, the Estoril Casino Gardens will host the second stage of the national skate championship Liga Pro Skate by Go Chill (LPS) 2024. This is a relevant event that should count on the presence of more than 200 athletes who will compete in the amateur and professional categories.

The LPS 2024 has four stages and a final where the national champions, by tier and the LPS champions will be qualified. This cycle of competitions selects the athletes who will represent the national team in the qualification for the 2028 Olympic Games.

“Expectations for this stage are high. From competition to competition, athletes present a more competitive level and greater development. This event has the presence of the best national and international athletes. The ranking of the competition will stabilize with this race, surpassing in some categories the winners of LPS 2023. At this moment, we have the best female and male athletes competing in the first places of the table”, reveals Paulo Ribeiro, coordinator of the Skate Committee of the Skating Federation of Portugal.

Registration is open until the 26th of June. Registration in the event is free, and the athlete must make or renew his registration with the Skating Federation of Portugal.

“For this race, the objective is to score well and ensure the presence in the front group in the national ranking since I did not participate in the last stage. The national and foreign level is high and any carelessness can call into question the victory. I have worked to continue to secure my title of champion,” confides Gabriel Ribeiro, Bi-national skateboard champion.

The Liga PRO Skate Cascais is distinguished by the organization of the Municipality of Cascais and the Skating Federation of Portugal. It has the support of the Skating Association of Lisbon, Portuguese Youth Institute and World Skate. Sponsors are Go Chill, Seat, Red Bull, Hot Wheels, and Ericeira Surf & Skate. Supports from R.Sk8, Alardo, Delta. The media partners are SportTV, Surge Skateboard and Skate.Freek.
