Jazz and meditation embark on Sado
A jazz concert and a meditation session filled, on the 2nd and 4th, the schedule of the “Maravilha do Sado: Experiences aboard”, a project running until the end of July with cultural activities in boat trips off Arrábida.
The program included, on the 2nd, a jazz concert at sunset, starring guitarists Francisco Neves and Eduardo Faustino, and, on the 4th, a morning meditation session, conducted by Tomás Mello Breyner’s team.
“Maravilhas do Sado: Experiences aboard”, a project promoted by the Municipality of Setúbal, includes a set of trips on the Sado river, lasting two hours, always on Fridays, at 6 pm, with an acoustic concert, and on Sundays, at 9:00 am, with meditation.
With embarkation and disembarkation behind the Fisherman’s Dock, the river route passes along the coast of the serra beaches and has a stop in front of Portinho da Arrábida, where the experience takes place.
Tickets, with a cost of four euros, can be purchased at the Casa da Cultura. The weekly schedule of the different experiences on board is available here. The Maravilha do Sado is a typical vessel from the 50s, recovered in 2014 by the Municipality of Setúbal.
