Jazzy Moon announces debut album and concert

November 9, 10 PM – Village Underground, Lisbon, special guest: Ricc Wolf

Jazzy Moon will release her debut album Words Left Unspoken on November 8, and the following day she will present it at a concert at Village Underground in Lisbon, at 10 PM, featuring special guest Ricc Wolf.

The album is a mix of acoustic Pop and R&B, presenting an intimate and emotional portrait of the singer’s journey in each track. It was written in collaboration with Ricc Wolf (Blasted Mechanism), Diogo Guerra, and producers Stego and Mogno. The creation process began four years ago, during a time when Jazzy was struggling to find her voice after a heartbreak.

Despite growing up surrounded by musicians (her father, Valdjiu, is a member of Blasted Mechanism), when it came to writing and singing her songs, Jazzy kept her music private. “Just to not be heard by anyone, I would hide in my room and sing very softly, almost as if I were whispering. And I think that influenced the way I write songs and sing. Not that I didn’t feel I had things to say; I had so many things to say, but I never thought they would be heard when it came to my feelings and emotions. So for me, writing this album was very important because now I’m ready to be heard and to say out loud all the words that went unsaid.”

Like in her previous work, the EP, If You Were Listening, the songs bring a feeling of whispered secrets, but this time with a rawness that suggests Jazzy is no longer holding anything back. The debut album represents her most personal and powerful work to date – a collection of songs that, although whispered in their delivery, carry the weight of the truth behind them.

The standout single “Bad Girl,” which has been gaining traction on some radio stations, is one of the themes in the soundtrack of the soap opera “Cacau”; and the track “Your Eyes” is part of the new season of the series Morangos com Açúcar.

Jazzy Moon is inspired by artists like Raye, Olivia Dean, Celeste, Jorja Smith, and Billie Eilish, and is already one of the most promising voices of the new generation of Portuguese music.
