After the dazzling concert she gave last September at MEO Kalorama, Jessie Ware is back in Portugal. This time, the British singer will perform at the 2023 edition of the Vodafone Paredes de Coura festival.
Recently, Jessie Ware unveiled the video for the single “Free Yourself”, directed by Vicky Lawton. The song was co-written and produced by Coffee Clarence JR and legendary British producer Stuart Price, giving a brief preview of what we can expect from Jessie’s fifth studio album.
This new track is also the culmination of a fantastic year for Jessie, who returned to disco music at the rescheduled What’s Your Pleasure? including a performance at Glastonbury and a memorable concert at Primavera Sound. Jessie Ware is still busy in the studio finishing her highly anticipated fifth studio album.
Also confirmed for the Vodafone Paredes de Coura festival was Loyle Carner, a representative of new hip hop produced in the United Kingdom. The musician will come to Portugal to present his latest studio album, “hugo”, acclaimed by publications such as “Wire” and “DIY Magazine”.
An urgent and challenging third album, clearly Loyle Carner’s most cathartic and ambitious work, one that both confronts his deeply personal demons and tackles political issues.
On “hugo”, Loyle Carner worked with renowned producer kwes. (Solange, Kelela, Nao), and the album has already released the acclaimed singles “Nobody Knows (Ladas Road)”, “Georgetown” and “Hate”.
The 2023 edition of Vodafone Paredes de Coura will take place from 16 to 19 August 2023.
