Joana Espadinha invites Luísa Sobral and Cláudia Pascoal

Teatro Maria Matos and Auditório do CCOP

FEBRUARY 22 / MARIA MATOS THEATER (guest LUÍSA SOBRAL)
FEBRUARY 25 / CCOP AUDITORIUM (invited CLÁUDIA PASCOAL)

Regarding the presentation “Ninguém Nos Vai Tirar O Sol”, one of the featured albums at the end of 2021, Joana Espadinha announces Luísa Sobral and Cláudia Sobral as the voices that will join her in the shows to be held on the 22nd and 25th of December. February in Lisbon and Porto, respectively.

On the first of these dates, taking place at Teatro Maria Matos, Luísa Sobral will be Joana’s accomplice in the exhibition of her latest original work. This is, in fact, a collaboration on hold since in 2018 the creator of “Xico” was unable, for health reasons, to be present at the official presentation of “O Material Tem Semper Razão”, Joana’s previous record, at the time at the Teatro Villaret. A mutual wish that has finally come to fruition in the Avenida de Roma room.

Cláudia Pascoal will be present in the city of Porto, continuing the collaboration that has been translated into “O Soldado”, composed by Joana Espadinha for the debut album of the northern artist. Although not exclusively, we guess that this will be one of the songs to be heard in the CCOP Auditorium on the 22nd of February.

Ninguém Nos Vai Tirar O Sol” is the title of the album published last September, his third original album. Included in most of the “best of the year” lists, it absolutely confirms Joana Espadinha’s talent as a songwriter. Tracks such as “Mau Feitio” and “Ninguém Nos Vai Tirar O Sol”, the singles highlighted to date; or “Astronauta”, to be released next week, are perfect examples of Joana’s unusual ability to create pop anthems.

Aware of this, the organization of the Festival da Canção invited Joana to this year’s edition of that televised event. The result was “Ginger Ale”, a song that will be defended by Diana Castro at the event on March 5th, but which can already be heard in the meantime – LINK.
