João Almeida took the 2nd place at the Giro dell’Emilia
João Almeida was second, this Saturday, at the 104th edition of the Giro dell’Emilia, in Italy, only beaten by Slovenian Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma).
Roglic, three-time Spanish Tour champion, covered the 195.3 kilometers between Casalecchio di Rena and San Luca in 4.54.26 hours, while João Almeida crossed the line just three seconds later, followed by Canadian Michael Woods (Israel Start-up Nation) . The Portuguese had already been second in this competition last year.
Also in action was the Portuguese Ruben Guerreiro (EF Education-Nippo), who finished the race in 39th position, 6.52 minutes from the winner.
