João Almeida wins the second stage of the Tour de Pologne
The Portuguese cyclist won and triumphed in the second stage of the Tour de Pologne and, for the first time, he won in the World Tour, the main category of world cycling.
João Almeida’s triumph began to build when there was little more than a kilometer to the end, with the Portuguese launching on a successful escape. Diego Ulissi (UAE-Emirates) took second place and Matej Mohoric (Bahrain-Victorious) completed the podium.
With this result, João Almeida assumed the leadership of the Volta a Poland. The Portuguese takes a four-second lead over Matej Mohoric and Diego Ulissi.
