Portuguese tennis player João Domingues qualified today for the second round of the ‘challenger’ from Concepción, in Chile, by beating Spaniard Carlos Gomez-Herrera, in three sets.
Domingues, 176th in the world, beat the Spaniard, 359th and coming from qualifying, 4-6, 6-4, 7-5, in two hours and 38 minutes.
In the next round, Domingues will meet Chilean Alejandro Tabilo, 167th in the world hierarchy.
